New to hunting in the pnw.

Hey guys hoping maybe someone can educate me a little bit and help me out a little. I'm from Ohio and back there the deer hunting rules are pretty simple, it's not really divided up into sections or anything. So I'm just trying to figure out if I can take a deer on my friends property in selma Oregon, it's on 40 acres and I have permission from him. So do I just need to get a license and a tag then go get one, or is there something else I need to do or know. Thanks guys, I haven't really been hunting in about 10 years with my uncle back in southern Ohio and I'd really like to get back into it.
