Not to defend the guy, but the guy who dropped his in the theatre in Tillamook got charged with something and these cops are losing their service weapons with seemingly no reprecussions. Ruling class gets a pass again.

Here's what happened... Tillamook gun owner who left gun at movie theater charged with misdemeanor | OregonLive.com

"Gary Warren Quackenbush, the 61-year-old man who said he mistakenly left behind his loaded gun at a Tillamook movie theater, was arraigned Monday on one charge of recklessly endangering another person.

Quackenbush appeared in Tillamook County Circuit Court to hear the misdemeanor charge. He then asked for a court-appointed attorney, which Judge Jonathan Hill denied after determining that Quackenbush didn't qualify for one.

A hearing is scheduled Jan. 8 so Quackenbush can dispute that ruling.

The judge also ordered Quackenbush to report to Tillamook County Sheriff's officials, to be photographed, booked into jail and then released immediately.

Police took the pistol as evidence, and revoked Quackenbush's concealed handgun permit. "

Heck no...no double standards. Nooooo...

If the Trenton police officer's weapon was lost in a secure police parking lot like the article says, doesn't that beg the question that it may have been found by another cop or police employee who failed to turn it in? Unless it didn't come off the vehicle until he was much further away from the police station, but you think it would have come off after turning the first corner unless this guy is an incredibly smooth driver. Any thoughts?
