Need a little Break!

I've taken a break from the site before, not because I got worked up about topics of the day - I can just as easily not click on those threads as on any other - but sometimes life gets too hectic to grant time to sit down and engage. And considering I'm not the kind of person that pops in for one or two comments and leaves, if I can't dig in a little deeper, I'll just shut off for a bit until things normalize again. The hard part is catching up on all you missed while you were away - nearly impossible to do at times.

I took a break one time last year due to the drama I was seeing on here, and probably part my own fault getting to
passionate about our rights. I feel guilty some times when I don't stay on top of things or come on here, I know in my heart that the world is good and screwed up equally. I find NWFA is a grounding point for me its a place where most people are good hard working Americans who love all there is to love about this country. Sure we get the trolls or chaos mongers but for the most part the site represents how the majority of gun owners are, we wish no one harm and only wish the ability to preserve that right for ourselves and loved ones to keep them and us from harm. I agree
@etrain16 hard to catch up. I am still trying to come in here and spend a hour a so a few times a week, trying to spend as much as I can with my FIL, hes doing well but I know its bothering him. He is doing what I would do, putting things in order and trying to make sure before you go you do not leave allot of burdens for others. Life is good we just have to remember that it is a precious thing we have, we may be entitled to our rights, but we should not take for granted the air we breath.

That's a tough thing to deal with, as I've noted we're dealing with a similar issue with my FIL as well. He gets better, then gets worse again. It's a lot of back and forth, sapping a lot of our spare, and not so spare, time. The docs say he's only going to go downhill, which he is starting to come to terms with, but we have no idea how long that could be - weeks, months, longer? I can certainly appreciate the difficulty of what you're dealing with.

Its all part of life it seems, just remembering all the first times in my life and why I have lost many relatives this seems to be the first one that will effect many people. Or at least I am noticing more then previously.
First timers are great, not liking this one much.

Relaxed yesterday. Unplugging is deep in the mountains, no cell coverage and usually very little humanity.

• Fixed the wood chipper, chewed through a pile that has been sitting for a LONG time.
• Started converting an old robot frame into a ladder test / scope zeroing jig.
  
• Couldn't find my mineral spirits. Went to Freds, bought some and a gallon of Kerosene
• Filled the ultrasonic cleaner with a quart of kerosene, completely stripped my CZ and magazines, zapped 'em for 10 minutes. The kerosene turned bubblegumming (MY WORDS) black with all the carbon. Wiped, oiled and reassembled. That baby works slicker than snot now!
• From 6pm to about 2am, nursed three Pelican Umbrella Imperial IPAs, which to me is drinking a lot. They wuz gooooddddd!

On an aside, I've done the ATF (both Ford Type F and Dexron) carbon soak, and IMO, the kerosene does WAAAYYY better.
