Greetings,

I have an old school TC.

I recently bought a 21" tapered .223 barrel for it, had it cut and threaded at 16".

Questions:

1: the .223 barrel won't unlock once installed and action closed. My other depicted barrels are flawless. What to check?

2: I need a fore-end. Prefer synthetic. Any options out there? The stud is in a completely different spot than my others.

3: scope options…. I will likely put a new pic rail on it but when mocking it up for use with a scope the cheekweld seems to become a chin weld and the eye relief is very close. This is for use with the full fixed stock. I do NOT need an EER pistol scope. I need a reduced eye relief (RER) rifle scope. Maybe 2-7 or something like that with small objective. Thoughts?

Also, before any Jr. G-men comment, its an SBR.

It's really hard to tell from the picture.

Other then comparing it to the others, which I'm sure you did, I would maybe recommend closing it and putting a flashlight behind where they meet and see if there is a flaw somewhere that needs to be fixed…
