My favorite rifle

Hello All,
Just thought I would show off my favorite rifle . Now that i know how to use the camera.
It is a Hawken rifle that a friend of mine built. I have had this rifle for 11 years now.
The load I use is : 80 grains of 2F, a .15 patch and a .530 round ball.
The stock is made from a local walnut tree that was hit by lightning.

Nice front stuffer and in .54, most I see are .50's as is mine. The only .54 I have is the Texas Mowrey.

Thanks Madcratebuilder. I do like the .54 as a caliber. Nice Mowrey, wish those were still made. Neat rifles that are just a bit different than what is usually found out there...

Thanks, good looking rifle. I sort of went to bigger calibers in BP. Started with .45 then wander to 58 then 69 caliber. The fowling problems is not as bad or easier to manage in the larger calibers. BP is pretty darn addictive.
