I would replace the screws. I think I added a buffer to it. (Had mine since they came out pre lawsuit and were still called GSG-5s). They sell an upgrade kit for it.I just picked one up for a price I couldn't refuse. I haven't shot it yet, but I've already been looking to trick it out. Have you made any modifications to yours or had any problems?
It runs great for me and a fun 22.
Mods are pretty cosmetic. I swapped out the stock for a collapsible one and a light fore end.
I have an interesting plan if it will work out. Don't want to use a stamp on it to SBR, (but I will on a can) so I want to shorten the barrel, thread it and permanently attach the shroud. Then I can attach a real silencer inside the shroud. Still be 16" total length with an 8" barrel and look stock from a distance. The can will be 1x8" so it should be very quiet.
Challenge is the barrel is pencil thin and shroud I believe is aluminum, so not easy to pin and weld for attachment plan.
