Missing search functions on certain threads

Might be by design or maybe not but there's no search function in the Gunsmithing section or some others, drives me crazy and causes lots of new threads on old topics.

While viewing that section, can you scroll to the top and see if you see the magnifying glass icon?

Yes, the magnifying glass icon is there, I just thought it is weird that some forums have the search button right there front and center. My IPhone version is well outdated and I suspect that may be it.

Can you post a screenshot of a section which has the search button you're referring to?

Ok, that's what I assumed (but you know what they say about assumptions!).

The reason that's different is because it's a category within the classifieds system. That button triggers the classifieds system filter feature, which is different than the standard site search. To search discussion categories, you'll want to tap the magnifying glass at the top and search "This Category" (like @CountryGent's screenshot above).
