Peake said ... they'd been " stealing guns for the purpose of overthrowing the federal government" ( of the United State of America.) Peake said he and Tuso together are members of this organization. Peake refused to name that organization and told police he would " kill to defend his country and he was stealing weapons to defend his country."

:huh::huh::huh:

Thats really crazy.I've met so many good folks shooting at ranges and other areas, it's really sad to think there are these wakos that I have to worry about getting behind me when I'm out shooting.

I have yet to see the evidence linking him to the murder. It does not seem logical for someone to kill what sounds like some kind of attorney, just to take his custom rifle. It seems more plausable that someone else had their own reason to kill him, but was smart enough not to take something expensive, custom, and serial numbered which could lead the police to him. Then in comes some real bright prison guard, who steals the dead mans gun to 'overthrow the U.S. government'. Just sayin, he did admit to that last part. What if he is telling the truth?

They found the victims rifle in a storage looker belonging to the guys arrested

Have you ever had to deal with an attourney? ;)

 I suppose you believed OJ was innocent too?

Freed told CBS 21 News that officers witnessed Peake carrying a heavy, black duffel bag out of Tuso's home. From there, detectives followed Peake to a storage unit facility south of Carlisle, Freed said. According to the district attorney, Peake then put the bag and the gun cabinet into a storage unit.

On Friday investigators executed three search warrants; at the storage unit, at Peake's home and at Tuso's home.

For you Heinlein fans:

"Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity."

I like to state it as:

"Never attribute to conspiracy that which is adequately explained by stupidity."

Peake said Tuso kept guns for him and said they'd been " stealing guns for the purpose of overthrowing the federal government" ( of the United State of America.) Peake said he and Tuso together are members of this organization. Peake refused to name that organization and told police he would " kill to defend his country and he was stealing weapons to defend his country."

Sounds a lot like the rhetoric of many folks around here. See how being a nutcase hurts gun rights?

Can you point to where "folks around here" have spoken of killing innocents to gather guns to overthrow the government?

If you will post just one example, I will make a special post proclaiming you, "CEF1959", as my personal hero of the day! :s0114:

Don't remember seeing anything like that on this forum recently. Have any examples that I can review, or is a conservative position stated against Socialism an attempt to overthrow the government, in your mind!

I think opinions expressed here and on most gun forums are meant to express opinions as to how to vote in future elections, not to take matters into their own hands.

You know CEF you are a very condescending person, nearly every post you make here has a an insult wedged in there for the general NWFA membership. What is your problem, just not a happy guy? Megalomania? Agent provocateur?

I honestly have failed to see any fight for second amendment rights in any of your posts.

Here you go CEF, this is what I think you're lacking:

I'm flattered to be the object of your attention. But back to the topic, boys....

These guys were nutty right wingers. Their ideologically-driven actions hurt the gun rights they professed. Many people here do to. They may not expressly advocate violent overthrow of the government (which would be both illegal and in violation of the terms of this board), but many people here express nutjob ideas. Tinfoil hat stuff. Crazy Obama paranoia. Weird conspiracy theories. Hyperbole about socialism and the need to fight back with 2nd Amendment solutions. They too hurt our gun rights.

Trslmn: If you can't discern ANY rightwing nutjob posts here, that's a problem. You LIVE here. You have no other life. You've posted an average of 10 posts per day for years. If you don't see any right-wing nut jobs on this site, ... well, I think that says something about your perspective.

Specificity. ;) That's what I said.

I've seen, deleted, and given infractions for "Hyperbole to the left and to the right wingers. I have on occasion banned people that were easy to discern that they were insane and had no place on a gun forum, Insanity knows no left wing or right wing it only knows paranoia and a world of it's own.

I could go to Democratic Underground and dig up the same type of nutjob posts you like to accuse others here of.

As long as we are on the topic of sanity, your mood swings, lashing out, school yard insulting words for no other reason than to be hurtful and insulting has me wondering if you might be Bipolar yourself? ;)

And I reiterate what are you doing here that is positive for gun rights other than insulting people?

How about this? How about I make a CEF1959 blog where you can make a weekly, monthly etc column on how we can fight to improve our 2nd amendment right from your perspective?

But I thought it was just said NOT to feed the trolls?? :p

Cookies are OK.

What I find disturbing is that prison guards are suppose to be well paid, highly trained, and have had psychological vetting to get the job. Not saying they are perfect, given all that -this just seems out of left field to me. They could have just purchased that weapon. Why did they murder a person to get it?
