What I thought was a good load at 8.8 is way to violent, and after chronographing the 8.8 from my press they are running 178 to 180 power factor. About 50 fps faster than what I was seeing before.
Just another reason why I returned the Lyman gen 5 auto dispenser!!!!
Did the math and took a stab at 8.5 from a new RCBS charge master lite auto dispenser and verified with my beam scale.
AND GOT 1400FPS AVG!
173 PF and a pretty flat load as in the dot stays in the glass.
Also chronographed AA #7
Only went up to 9.4grs and it is a nice powder .more dense and it did not fill the case as much.
I'm surprised at the results as I have No barrel holes and I need to start pushing 10grs . Must have a slow barrel.
I need to bump it up to 9.6 , 9.8 as I was short of a 173 pf... but it has a softer recoil will be using this when my 3n38 is gone.
