howdy

just wondering if anybody has any leads on websites or books that might, in layman's terms, help me to understand the processes at play during exercise... how the body produces and copes with lactic acid, how conditioning changes this... energy transformation... VO2 and how the body builds up capacity.. etc..

i don't want to go to school for this stuff, just have a better understanding.. surely somebody has written a book for guys like me...?
