So, I did some checking today, and found No Body Cares here in CO! High cap mags are being sold right under the nose of Law enforcement! We are also an Open carry state, and you would think guys with large, high cap mags sticking out of the butts would draw any attention, Yet four times today alone I had encounters with LEO and not once was any thing said, and mine is very obvious! The "KIT" system works with no problems and for rifle mags, you find gen 2 and later with a hole drilled at the 15 round mark for a pin or rivet! Most have just the hole to "look" like it was converted! Like I said, no one cares any more! They all realized no one is/would comply so it is un inforcable!

I will have plenty of mags to go around if Governor Brown decides to ban them. My pipeline will continue to flow.

I know in many states they will not push the magazine issue but they will use it as a secondary offence. If you do something stupid and they cannot get you on that charge they will hold you on the MAG charge until they can get enough evidence to charge you on the first.

So do not do anything stupid and you will be OK.

What states are you talking about and please provide cites for people who have been prosecuted for magazine issues.

Innuendo.

So far CO, where @Ura-Ki lives, has only charged one person for "illegal possession of a high-capacity magazine".

They've also been going after people in MA....

Like @DSAPT9 stated they like to tack it on to other charges. Here's one such case in DC,

It is OK to posses illegal magazines if you are part of the anti gun media of course.

What you have there are a few people who have been arrested but if you dig deeper you'll find most if not all the charges related to the magazine sales or purchases were dropped or dismissed. Some such as the guy who jumped over the white house fence were going to get charges for breathing tacked on if they couldnt find anything else. The guy in California was selling an AR-15 illegally. None of those were standalone magazine cases.

An example is the guy in Massachusetts..."The two counts of illegal possession were dismissed yesterday in Salem Superior Court yesterday."

From what I could find, basically no stand alone charges are/were brought upon a person for mag issues! You would have to be pretty stupid here in CO to get charged with mag compliance issues on top of other charges! Like was said above, Don't be stupid!

So which option are we gonna take?
1.) Get into the cattle car now.
2.) Walk into the gas chamber willingly.
3.) Lay down in front of the nearest refrigeration truck.

My faith in people being able to resist this is not good.

To be honest I do not know of a case that has been prosecuted on just the magazine charges alone. Like I said it is a secondary charge at best.

Where I got my information from was a couple Colorado officers on vacation here in Coeur d Alene area (who by the way did not agree with the mag issue) but they were saying it can be used in conjunction with other crimes to show a solid case towards someone then the lesser charges get plea bargained out (illegal Mag) and the main charge sticks. The mag charge can show greater intent like not only do they have a gun but they also have an illegal mag.

Sorry for the confusion

Don't forget to stock up on "hi-cap" mags before the fall legislative session starts. Just got my koran glock mags. I'll have to modify the 45acp one to load 10mm. It seem to work, but could be slightly tighter. My wife has an embossing heat gun that should do the trick with some padded pliers.

Has anyone used gunmagwarehouse before? It's taken them ten days to even ship my mags, and I'm not even sure they did it yet.

Welp, the good news is that I got my mags. The bad news is the company announced a credit card breach during the timeframe I placed my order and I woke up to roughly $1700 worth of fraudulent charges on my credit card. Luckily, it was easy to deal with the CC company.
