And don't forget, there is literally no way currently, to legally purchase firearms in the state of OR come December 8th. We know what needs to happen, but neither of those two things are setup, or have been defined yet.
Thus making this, as it currently stands, a de facto gun ban (even if it is likely to be temporary)

"literally no way currently to legally purchase firearms"

What about FFLs? Last time I checked M114 didn't require them to get a purchase permit. PSA sucks.

Let's alter that wording slightly - no way to legally take possession of a firearm. Most of us are not FFLs.

They aren't stopping sales to FFLs, they're stopping sales to customers, who have to have them shipped to an FFL.
Was that in some fine print?

The banner said no firearm sales to Oregon after midnight. All firearms ordered by customers go to FFLs first. PSA should let Oregon FFLs worry permits to purchase. If they are worried about a bunch of returns,.make sales to Oregon final no returns.

What do you think FFLs can do with with guns they're sent?
What do you think FFL licenses grant?

I'm fairly certain even FFL holders need to pass a BGC too.

He's saying PSA should keep sending them, they are going to FFL anyway, and the Oregon FFL would be the one to make sure the buyer has the correct paperwork on the state level.

I get that, and part of me wonders if they have their date/info wrong.

However, they have to cover shipping lag/time, it needs to get here before the 8th and it needs to be "compliant".

So what happens if you purchase something now and gets shipped to an Oregon FFL and arrives on say, the 6th? I doubt you would get through the Background check by the 8th, so what happens to your money and the gun?

Firearms should be able to sit at an FFL in Oregon until this $hitshow of a law is figured out. If that state can't get their crap together it simply needs to be tossed out.

No...psa doesn't suck.. Oregon sucks. Psa is just doing everything they can to stay in the confounds of OR law. They gave you guys expedited shipping on mags to make sure you had them before the 8th. Just like they did for washington and CA.

Psa is just covering themselves. They're saying "hey we can't ship anything after the 1st cause we can't guarantee it'll be there before the 8th and we can't ship out 50k firearms ahd then process return shipments and return funds"

I mean cmon. You're blaming a company, that has always been about freedom and fighting for the cause, for your states laws. PSA didn't ask for Oregonians to pass this law. They would love to sell you magazines and guns cause that's how they make money. But they can't because your states liberal agenda won. It's not on them it's on the majority of Oregonians who voted this law in. I wouldn't send guns there either if my bacon was on the line

You paid for what was likely a non-refundable firearm.
If you don't get through the BGC before the deadline, you will (as it currently stands) have to wait until the state works out how to issue permits and training schemes, get the training, get the permit, apply for the BGC again.
