Purchased a Viridian E series laser to mount of triggerguard of an LCP2 pistol. Laser will not adjust windage left to come closer than 18" to POAim when mounted. At extreme right windage it's 5' off to right at 20ft. Not a one-off… tried another unit… same thing. Returned both.

Anyone else have better experiences with other brands? Looking at Armalaser, Lasermax, and CrimsonTrace.

I have notified Viridian.

Mark 1 eyeball looks perfect on trigger guard.

Talked to my gunsmith; he said Viridian, Laserlyte, and Armalaser are POS. Iffy on Lasermax but full marks on Crimson Trace; will likely go that route.

It would be close to impossible to shim... fitment is over entirety of trigger guard within a narrow recess.

A precisely cut and placed piece of electrical tape would work.

But up to you to determine. Its odd for such a small gun any laser would be that far off at 20 feet.

Edit, is it 5 feet or 5 inches off?

Left most windage gets within 18 inches right of POA; right most windage is 5 feet right of POA. I don't think a piece of tape will do it. Second unit is already on way back to Amazon; refund issued.

The other reason a shim won't work is I need laser to point more left; that would require removal of material on right trigger guard plate gunnel, or shave down on right side of LCP2 frame, and that isn't going to happen.

The crimson trace laser is perfect… very bright, easy to turn on with middle finger pad on grip, and already same point of aim as iron sights.

Only thing that p'd me off is Amazon jacked up the price after they saw I was interested. Lesson… don't browse signed in on the same device you want to use to make purchase.
