I recently purchased a new Laser Bore Sighter that goes in the end of the barrel, and this old dog learned a new trick. I have been using this type of device for quite a few years, dealing with the laser not pointing at the same place all the time. Even when I was pretty confident in how the laser set up, rarely would the bullet hit where I thought it should be. Enter the Replacement.

When I received the new one I proceeded to install it and point the laser at a spot on the wall about about 8" away. I then turned the unit in the barrel and saw that the laser was moving in a circle instead of stationary. That's when I put 1 + 2 together, 1 - the allen screws on the side of the unit and 2 - the allen wrench in the box. Sure as heck I did a little twisty twisty on the screws and I couldn't even tell that the laser was turning. I have now used in on three new scopes and it has worked 10 times better than my old unit. Oh, I looked at my old unit and it had screws in it too 🤦‍♂️.

So that's the Tech Tip: This style of laser bore sighter is adjustable (at least the two I have) and will work extremely well after adjustment.
