Looking for opinions on laser bore sighters. I have a .30-06 with a scope and am wondering if a laser is better than traditional methods. Thanks in advance.
I've used several different types of boresighters including the laser boresighter that goes in the muzzle and projects a beam on a wall for you to ajust to. It was time consuming to use and was very touchy. The in chamber laser boresighters are a great idea but the batteries don't last very long. I have found that the Leupold Zero Point magnetic illuminated system works the best for my needs. It's quick and easy with a measuring system for scope objective height. That takes the guess work out of where the boresighter is situated on the barrel. It also has an illumination device inside for low light conditions but also has a periscope type mirror for daylight use. Cabelas has them but I'm sure you can find a better price on google shopping. Here's the link for cabelas so you can take a look at it.
