I agree on most of your points, but we do have an agenda here - to discuss, celebrate, debate, educate, enjoy, encourage and defend all things guns.
Here is the mission statement for NWFA:
NorthwestFirearms.comwas founded based on these three goals, which comprise our core mission:
Communication - Increase the speed and frequency of communication between firearm owners, pro-firearm groups, manufacturers, and others.
Organization - Provide resources for firearm owners to organize themselves in support of the 2nd Amendment.
Advocacy - Educate the public on safe firearm use and ownership, while promoting land stewardship, shooting sports, hunting, and self defense
The only point I wish to make is that it's pointless to just aim someone to NWFA if they arrive to find they have no idea where to go to actually locate the information regarding 941 activities. There is a lot going on here all the time, and new visitors can be overwhelmed, not knowing where they should go and what they should read.
And, consider that we'll get people from both sides visiting. What if either of them come across the little arguments here about the NRA, voters of a certain political persuasion, etc. - what conclusion may they draw in a 10 minute visit? Will they find what they need to get active against 941? Or may they get turned off at some folks arguing?
I'm only suggesting that without some semblance of form and organization, we may not help the cause by pointing people to a site where they can't very quickly find 941 specific information.
Right toward the end of your post should be "actionable" information, if I read your intent/meaning right.I agree on most of your points, but we do have an agenda here - to discuss, celebrate, debate, educate, enjoy, encourage and defend all things guns.

So do I - but we still have 941 as the sucker prize to their 'politics and political payback'I liked this line because it's true. ", but this issue is all about politics and political payback."
Yea just caught that myself - unbelievable! You might consider drafting a short post summarizing it for those who aren't aware of it.What a horrible story they just had on losing your guns due to a retaining order.
Wow, well written reply with some really good points.
To address you points all I can do is give you my point of view. The site itself is for the promotion of your views on guns but what we are trying to do is organize against corruption. This is a great place with average people who want a better life. We are ordinary like everyone else and we see not just our gun rights being abused by emergency powers but all rights.
Corruption is far bigger than guns and it is a unified issue. There is no party line or any agenda in fighting it. When people come here they will see us trying to organize and may help. If we are too organized they will let us carry the load and walk away. How many guys just pay the NRA and never fight for right?
The arguments here are just like home to some. However we need to police ourselves to make us look like a family and not dysfunctional.
It's going to take all of us to steer this in a manner for the best outcome. Our goal is to get out the corruption in government so we can live our lives. We have really good people here, we can do this.
Yea, I re-read that. My fail. Nike stock is down at closing today, as it should be forevermore. You know, I think that is one of the best graphs I have ever seen.
To bad I have absolutely no idea what it represents.
But I like it!................................................
The Corruption = Open Borders /Crony Capitalism / Creeping Socialism / Welfare State Mentality/ Eco Overreach / Political Correctness run amok / Progressive Common Core brainwarshing of Kids/ Hatred of America due to its Racist Bigoted Sexist Colonialist Imperialist Past/ ... And then there is 2A/RTKBA and the battle to retain Private Firearms Ownership . THEY ARE TWO DIFFERENT CAUSES , so lets focus on 2A/RTKBA & past ,pending & future Firearms Restrictions and the folks (Party) foisting them on us . Lets not confuse the OTHER STUFF in this battle and conversations , Budget Battles and Social Justice and general political mishegoss is a distraction and I will try & focus on Gun Control and who we are fighting in that matter , give me a chance to focus and keep that in mind.
I like where you're going with your ideas Jim. I'm hoping we can, collectively as a group pull together to be the focal point for all things 941, and I-594 too.
We can do it............ .......... Right and left can agree on that.

We can do it if the guys will be a part of it. What American will not stand against government corruption? People in Washington state are in their battle and it's costing them big money in their fight. We could join forces because reality is the way the election was ran to bring about their gun control votes was corruption. The ballot should have been clear and only one title.
I repeat myself too often but the system no longer works so the peaceful tools we have are limited to working outside the system with boycotts. We have no way to hold them accountable when the elections are corrupt. When those elected don't fear us and trample one right then all rights can be trampled. Right and left can agree on that.
Boycott state government.
I agree that this should be an issue that is in full agreement by members of all parties. It irritates me, particularly in this state, that only the R party ever bothers to stand up for it. I do believe that if all voters made their voices known on this issue, both parties would defend it. Just imagine if the D party all of a sudden decided to take up the mantle of defending the rights of gun owners - what would follow? Would the R's suddenly begin promoting gun control, just to be contrary? Or would they both fight for it and each one claim to be a stronger advocate?
I only think this can work if we can unite a lot more on the D side to be active and vocal with their reps and senators and, if necessary, for at least one election cycle, agree to stand on this one issue and dismiss them from their positions. Once Salem got that message, I do feel that gun control would be pushed aside. Yes, it may mean that some D voters may have to bypass some other items that are important to them, but giving a big victory the other side for one cycle, with clear communication that they were sent packing over anti-2A legislation, would likely make a huge impact.
Doing what we've been doing all along won't work, we already know that. Our only real option in this state, with the voting demographic we have, is for everyone who is pro-gun to unite only behind pro-gun candidates. If not, I don't know that there is much else we can do. Yes the boycott may get some attention, but we wield the one true weapon of power that they fear - our votes. And I'd love to see that weapon put to use in a big way next election.
My focus......and we will lose by division.
