We are into an era of inflation, for sure. Consequently, prices are rising at retail stores. I've caught both Walmart and Fred Meyer leaving old prices on the shelf, and at the check out register, they ring at a higher price than shown on the shelf. Many people make purchase decisions based on shelf prices the see. I imagine this is not an intentional practice. Likely the prices are a lot easier to change in a main computer somewhere than physically on the shelves. Caveat Emptor.
