Is $50 to much to have ffl do the paperwork?

I guess I'm lucky. The guy I use is 25$ and thats including the 10$ fee.

$50 is absolutely way too much! Wrong state for OP, but for those on the westside of Portland... Ryan Judy Sports | Firearms & Accessories. Home of the $10 transfer. Nice guy as well.

This. Too many in the PDX area were trying the $50 rip-off fee. Shop around, you'll find better. Check the pawn shops too as I understand they tend to be more reasonable....

The owner replied to what I wrote,he pretty much told me its a big hassle for them to do transfers,takes a lot of time for his employees to do them so that's why they charge so much,especially the part when you have to write in the serial numbers of a second or third gun. But he did say that he didn't want to lose my business so he would only charge me $35 for each serial number they had to write down. I won't be casting a shadow walking into his store again,but since sales are so good right now he probably won't miss me,or all the people I tell this story to. I won't say the same of the store,other than its in olympia,and there's a mountain range nearby with the same name.

Yea $50 seems high I looked around out my way in Gresham, found a guy thats $25 and he's a great one to deal with. Yes I know wrong state for op but better deals can be found.
