You are irrational if:

You prep more than 5 guns and 5,000 rounds of ammo and have less than 1 years supply of food.

You buy iodine pills and worry about radiation fallout from a nuclear plant that is thousands of miles away.

You dwell over the news daily and worry about dying from terrorist attacks.

You are 100% sure the economy is going to collapse within the next year.

You have bug out supplies but nowhere to bug out to.

You have tons of food and don't have a way to cook it.

You have more flashlights and pocket knives than matches.

You use up half your food storage space with plastic water bottles but don't have a water filter to purify more water.

You own tens of thousands of dollars in silver and gold and only have 72 hours of food and water.

You tell all your friends and family that your storing a years supply of food for you and your family of 3, and don't think anyone else is going to show up at your house when something happens.

You don't store food because you think you can hunt animals and fish for food after shtf.

You plan on sharing food with neighbors and other people in need.

You don't store all the things you will need because you plan on bartering for them later.

Your survival plans consist of showing up at other people's houses and asking for food or taking theirs.

You have everything you plan to do for prepping and you talk about the endless possibilities of calamity on a daily bases but never actually start prepping supplies.

You have a pantry full of food and you make youtube videos to show it off not realizing that its only 3 to 4 months of food for 2 people, and your prepping for a 6 person household.

Your plan is to go with the flow or to bug out with as much as you can carry.

You work on being in shape yet your loved ones couldn't walk a block with a pack on.

You really don't know what to do but figure you are better off than others.

It can't happen to you.

If you are all prepared with all your stuff for the big event, but when it happens, all your carefully prepared items are suddenly washed away/shaken into a hole/burnt by a fire, and it is all gone. And you don't have a clue what to do because you were not prepared for being prepared.

You've got an AR-15 with all the cool guy goodies you can slap on it while looking like you stepped off the cover of tactical cool guy magazine with no hunting, farming or outdoor skills while your friends are backwood bumpkin rednecks with AK's and .30-06's

you are drunk, and riding the .25 cent horse ride outside the Gervais food mart, wearing a camo jacket and rubber boots, and you're 40 years old, and it's 9:17am on a Sunday.

I specifically asked you not to post the circumstances of our meeting on this forum.........

Humm, looks like that could be a number of people on this forum. Don't knock those horse rides, they can throw you.

A long list of the typical mindset a lot of our fellow Americans have....gear will solve my problems.

They never realize there's an amazing amount of Fail in not having "done" but thinking you can "Do".

Reminds me of folks with ARs that have both a vertical grip and a bi-pod...A 24x nightforce and a light.. all on a .223 with a 12 inch barrel (with the 4' flash hider) and a pencil barrel ("cause this damn thing is too heavy)....And they won't spend a weekend learning how to run the dang thing.........But it sure looks ....cool........
