Trumps a smart dude. There is a massive population of moderate liberal voters in the US. Trump has played his cards right and has practically decimated the DNC and all of their candidates by getting them to do it to themselves. Hes now attempting to appeal to that massive swath of liberal voters who can no longer justify voting for the identity politics anti american democrat party. Alot of people who voted obama, voted trump. Bernie bros as well. He also fully understands that firearm owners are an insignificant voting demographic. The economy is doing well and middle class americans wont want to screw that up by voting for socialists. So in short, were no longer important, hes won the middle class, and is now trying to win over moderate liberals. All the anti gun politics in the world, hed still probably win in a landslide.
Oh and LOL at ANY conservative who thinks they got a shot at battling trump for president.

Simple solution, vote in his opponent next year. This has worked very well in WA, OR, and CA for decades. The "better choice" was not good enough so gun owners voted for their opponent. Just look how well it's working? Why not keep doing it?

I don't believe that for one bit, as not one liberal will ever vote for him. He's deluded if he believes that he can do anything that will ever get anyone left of center to vote for him ........ Yep. Every election here I end up voting for people who I have little use for. I look at who can actually win, and then which one of them will do me the least harm, and cast my vote. An amazing number of gun owners have Trump derangement syndrome so bad they really wish Hilary had won. This is how OR got Kate twice now and look how those who helped her win scream now

$800 SKS during 2008-2009?
$1,000 DPMS ARs?
$900 AKs?
$100 a brick of .22lr?
2012, certain gun prices came down a little bit, but not by much....
Its 2019 now and we can get $350 complete, budget, decent quality AR15s, with some models (polymer lower) being even cheaper... AKs are still $600+ though. I haven't seen SKS for less than $400 around here.
