My next IDPA 101 class is Saturday April 6th at Norpoint range in Arlington, Washington.
The class is intended for people who are interested in shooting IDPA matches for fun, practice and competition. The class will cover the basic rules, regulations and procedures of a match. The class will have a couple hours in the class room then the rest of the day on the range with live fire. You will start out with some basic shooting drill to get warmed up with and proceed to some reload with live fire drills. The class will end with two IDPA Stages with a Course of Fire similar to what you would see in a real match. On those two stages you will be timed and scored just like in a real match. There are no prerequisites for the class, just be fully comfortable with the gun you bring and know how it works. This is NOT a beginning handgun class.
The class fee is $65 and it will run from 10am-4pm. You will need 250-300 rounds for the class. There will be the monthly Norpoint IDPA match after the class, so you can stay and shoot a real match right after class!! The match fee is $15 and you need about 100 rounds for the match.
