I thought about the survival aspect of that but I haven't had much luck with the long term survival of elastic materials. seems I pull out the sling shot every couple of years only to find I need to pick up some new elastic before I can use it.
Surgical tubing stretched at arms length rather smarts the forearm when it breaks you know. One time, it literally pealed skin off my wrist.
Still, it would be fun to scatter the squirrels terrorizing our flower pots.
