Something about those older washer/dryer units....I guess the two we have now aren't new anymore. They were when we bought them though. About 14 and 16 now I'd guess. The dryer is the exact same configuration as the one my parents gave us that they must have had for 20 years or more and served is for 15 or so years. And the washer that I thought would be terrible to repair when the link between the motor and transmission lost a couple of teeth was easier to fix than the belt or idler on the dryer. I'll NEVER have one of those damned molding, computerized things they convince people are so much better now!
