Huh???And I thought I had bad hearing….
Sure you do, it goes something like this: many things in life not only have benefits, but also disadvantages, up to and including someone may die as a result of their being allowed to exist, be owned, used, etc. Generally, when something offers an overall net benefit it should be allowed. I'm sure you have enough convincing arguments why the RKBA fulfills this condition. This is why we end up with gun control laws, and when I debate anitgunners who bring instances up like this I got nothin....
Been there tried that, the problem with that argument is in order to present it you have to admit a disadvantage of your own position which is then exploited by the opposition to no end. The idea of some sort of acceptable level of negligence and deaths is not a good foundation to stand on and you will not win that particular debate.Sure you do, it goes something like this: many things in life not only have benefits, but also disadvantages, up to and including someone may die as a result of their being allowed to exist, be owned, used, etc. Generally, when something offers an overall net benefit it should be allowed.
