Thing works just fine for everything from .22lr rifle to shotguns to bolt guns.

I'll bet you could put a couple eyebolts in that thing and bunjie a long gun down pretty good. Throw a couple a shot bags in the tray to hold it all down.



I've never owned any such device though..

I got a CKT gun vise, works well.


I also have a vise like EPS does, I think it's a PanaVise, with that kind of base, a clamp base, and a vacuum base.

I just got one of those little vise called a hobby vise bolted it to my work bench it tilt's and has rubber or plastic inserts for the gripView attachment 408133 View attachment 408134 View attachment 408142 View attachment 408143

You wouldn't probably need those upgrades if you think you may work on it on a hill side

I haven't worked wood for quite a while, Jim. Pretty much lost interest. I'm thinking of selling off the machine tools!

We are two peas in a pod brother.
I am in the same boat and wanting to build a partition and turn half the shop (24x30) into a reloading, gun Maintenance/building area, with better insulation to keep the cost down for heating out there. Might as well be comfortable while spending a lot of time out there, lately I've been freezing my butt off.

Well, it used to look just like this. It's pretty grungy now, probably should give it a bath.
If I was doing it again, I'd buy their Best Gun Vice like @SHPD_Retired showed.

I have my grand parents tools, they aren't for sale! I'm talking bandsaws, lathes, table saws, etc! The ones I bought.
