We've been paying more attention to cleaning up the brass left behind on the range. The pistol bays were raked out recently, and this is one of the objects found:

That was the end of someone's revolver right there. It's been exposed to the wet for a long time, but it appears to have been from a nickel plated gun. I think .38. At first I thought .44, but then decided that the larger chamber was due to expansion from explosion.

It looks like something baked, with a savoy filling and a sweet glaze on the crispy shell. o_O
