Awe, C'mon.... Gun prices have finally dropped to a more reasonable range, and now you're going to go and push prices back up by panic buying??? Rats...

Yes, figure that a percentage will get an unnecessary delay or denial and then educate other non-gun owners that you can't just order a pistol off the internet and have it delivered to your house.
 
So, whenever there's the hint of gun control, it sparks panic buying, often by first timers. Shouldn't that signal to politicians that there isn't a desire for gun control? Your constituents are afraid you are going to take something away, so they are trying to acquire it as quickly as possible.

All politicians really care about is getting elected, so you would think they would do what gets them the most votes, regardless of what's "politically correct" or the "rightthink" of the day.
