Pretty cool. I remember shooting with the sheriff of my small town in '87 when they were going to give them a try. From what I remember they had their problems and the sheriff didn't like them. He may have been very biased toward/against them, since he called them a "damn plastic pistol".... That kind of had a big influence on a 13 year old kid back then. One day I may give them another try....

Look at the picture showing the original pistol case.
Even with the explicit warnings not to place a loaded weapon inside it, people still did and won their lawsuits after having negligent discharges.

HK had a plastic pistol out in 1970 the vp70. Cool old add. They still looking same. But didn't claim perfection then.

Paul Barrett's book about Gaston Glock is a very good read and I highly recommend it.

I now own a big Box-O-Glocks... 17s, 20s, 21s, and a new 41

I have nicer guns, but I carry a Glock. Much less expensive to replace if I'm ever require to use it...which I pray is never.
