Get fired for even being there.

That recently happened to one of our employees... he was big and bold on Internet video being an absolute rude and crass "Richard" towards a reporter at a PB event in DC... he got doxxed and the company was catching a HUGE amount of flak, so according to the employee handbook rules of conduct (that everyone signs) they let him go... then we had a PB protest (albeit it was quiet and peaceful) outside our main office saying the company supports ANTIFA (which is NOT true).

In the end, NO ONE'S minds were changed by the events that took place.

There's morons on all sides.

Woke up and found all my Apple, Facebook, Microsoft holdings were sold yesterday afternoon just like my Ameriprise adviser said she would do. Spotify is next on the chopping block. Also, sad to see Twitter down 12% 5-billion dollar loss...so sad. Oh well, two can play the game.

BTW mods, thanks for deleting my avatar with the picture of Biden...I apologize for being insensitive to the ghosts who may have been offended.

Who's rights are you taking away when you tell a legitimate business what kind of content it must host? On this site there is censorship and is controlled by the management. The site has that right and should do what is best for the site. I feel other business's have this same right.

Well said comrade!

So you dont believe in the right to personal property ownership?
Oh, I do. I was agreeing 100% with you, comrade Ruby
That's one of the reasons I thanked the mod for removing my hurtful and inappropriate avatar. I have been gone for a few months and did not see the warning about using offensive avatars. I prefer to follow rules and obey orders as directed.

As a friend pointed out, they can't seem to stop child porn. Hmm. That is a head scratcher. Can't stop child porn since day one of the internet but in a few weeks can dissolve other legal industries. Sorta like can't get rid of criminals guns but can come for yours.

Don't spend any money on the 20th.

The people who support these anti speech book burning measures will soon rue the day. Did anyone see the video of Biden's Zoom call with the young black leaders telling them to shush and get inline behind the Latinos because they are the party's future? The rest of America better brace themselves for the same treatment. That group in the call were, but...but...then got that slap of reality with no glove.

While big tech and certain groups have won for now they will soon find the "Do Nothings" can't sustain the system very long at all.

Love him or hate it him is irrelevant. I was listening to Lars Larson on the way home yesterday. He mentioned that Apple play store removed the Parler (sp?) app so no one can download it. Google play store deleted it too. He also mentioned (i believe) Parler was shut down from their servers as of midnight on Sunday. No warning or anything.

Absolutely right that the socialist controlled media is censoring anything that may speak against them.

Pray for your children and grandchildren!

This free speech space is confusing these days. It is clear that our government cannot restrict the speech of any person or business, but what do we do when businesses control so much of our individual free speech? Do Twitter/Facebook/etc. have an obligation to respect the free speech of their users? If that secondary application of the first amendment is what we want to do, we need to clarify that in the law, because right now, The first amendment means that the government cannot step in to ensure an individual's right to free speech on a platform without restricting the corporate entity's right to free speech. I'm not sure exactly how they should legislate this.

Social media comments and remarks have now been used to deny people the ability to fly. A government agency has decided that what you say in private / public can - and will be used against you to limit your freedoms to travel and have you placed on no-fly lists. Airlines have now been kicking people off their flights - just for the conversations travelers were having.

We are so past the banter now.

It's pretty clear to me. The general conservative leaning population has become known as racists', homophobes and all around terrible people. To me, that means the liberal side is the only one that can step up and correct the mess they've fostered.

I'll be waiting.

When you sign on these platforms, you signed an agreement which they are not following. People who are not violating the contract are being shut down.

Perhaps... here's the relevant portion of facebook's contract that users agree to; I have bolded the portion that seems to be what they're using, though their "community standards" are also vague and abstract enough to allow them to remove just about anything they see fit:

We want people to use Facebook to express themselves and to share content that is important to them, but not at the expense of the safety and well-being of others or the integrity of our community. You therefore agree not to engage in the conduct described below (or to facilitate or support others in doing so):
  1. You may not use our Products to do or share anything:
    • That violates these Terms, our Community Standards, and other terms and policies that apply to your use of Facebook.

    • That is unlawful, misleading, discriminatory or fraudulent.

    • That infringes or violates someone else's rights, including their intellectual property rights.

Every member should watch this. Tucker is posting a very real warning about the fascism in America right now, and the dangers of it all. This was LAST NIGHT. This covers Parler and much more. The Parler CEO says his life has been threatened and he can't even go home.

Enjoy him as you may,

Just read U.S. District Judge Mary Kay Vyskocil's opinion, leaning heavily on the arguments of Fox's lawyers: The "'general tenor' of the show should then inform a viewer that [Carlson] is not 'stating actual facts' about the topics he discusses and is instead engaging in 'exaggeration' and 'non-literal commentary.' "

She wrote: "Fox persuasively argues, that given Mr. Carlson's reputation, any reasonable viewer 'arrive with an appropriate amount of skepticism' about the statement he makes."
