I haven't decided if I want a Flint lock or just go the easier way with a cap and ball .

It looks great! I have one on my list, but have to keep up with the ban frenzy first. Once I've paid it off and can free up cash, I hope to pick up a kit and do one myself someday.

Ok, maybe just mine, but still...

It's curly maple with an old timey stain called aqua fortis, then about 10 coats of tru oil.
Then after I shoot it, the whole thing, barrel, lock, and stock gets a balistol rub down. Seems to be holding up well, but I haven't had it in the rain yet!
