If you are reloading for 5.56 NATO (mini 14/AR15, etc) you will want a small base case gauge.. cheap tool and it will help you get that pesky base resized down enough

If it's for a .223 bolt gun you probably won't need it

Already picked up a Redding 308 Win die and shell holder....all I need now is my .223 die set.

Yah, IMO those are the hardest ones to get a hold of and funny, of all the rifle rounds you get the least payback if all you are doing is plinking.
