Need of fixing? The fact that we pretty much have to always pick between the lesser of two evils rather than who is best for the job. Only sell-outs to the highest lobbyist win...what kind of a system is that? It's a broken one...and those in power LOVE that they get to make all the rules and decide what is fair and balanced.

Our government runs by money, greed an power when it should run by the demand of the people. Our government should speak FOR the people.

Yeah, sometimes we make mistakes when voting and we really should vote the mistakes out but I feel the real key to correcting our government is term limits, two terms never to be elected to that level of office again. Another area I'd focus on would be pay and the congress's ability to give themselves raises while the rest of us are hurting.

Again, you will never get what you want as long as you have so many voters that are fixed on stupid. Look how many voted for Obama. Wonder how they like the change now? However given a choice they would still vote another progressive in because they the voters have no common sense.

Sure, we can vote...but who do we vote for? The guy/gal that lies to get into office? The richest one with all the mob connections that gets endorsed? The black/female/Asian/Muslim/(insert random minority here) one for "change"?

Yes, your average voter is a moron. I know more about our current President than the people that voted for him...that's a given.

*We have Senators that vote on bills that they never read.
*We pay Legislators full retirement pay after their second term into office while most people cannot get retirement until they put in 20-30 years of labor.
*The only way to get an important bill passed/vetoed is by huge preassure from the higher ups or for earmarks.

There was a survey I was listening to on the radio about how some people got more votes than others. One guy was voted judge with no prior experience. When voters were asked why they voted for him, people stated because he had a "familiar name".

So if I was John Anderson, I could probably beat someone named Gerbich Nebrolski...regardless of my qualifications.

So your average voter is retarded...I get that. But then the higher ups see our stupidity and take advantage of it...shredding the constitution with the PATRIOT Act and making an Executive Order to be able to bypass Congress during times of National Emergency.

But then some of us realize the bull- and speak out against it. They go on talk radio shows and try to educate people...but the higher ups (elitists) don't like this, so they try to pass laws to make radio stations host both liberal and conservative talkshows.

People see the Socialism side- the government controlled banks, healthcare and such...but look at EVERYTHING. Ignore the conspiracies and see things for what they are. People voted for Obama because he was a charismatic black man that promissed a "change" of pace. People were even voting for Sarah Palin just to say they wanted a first woman as a vice president....and I GARANTEE she was picked just because she was a woman. Have you seen her track record?
