Evil + Stupid = Bipartisan on the Second Amendment
So when Bush's Solicitor General argued against Heller in the Supreme Court (and lost), was that Republicans being evil or stupid?
If this is the fool you are speaking of I would not call him a republican, more like a democrat in republican clothing. "Olson claims there is a constitutional right for same-sex marriage" 100% liberal.
Where does the Constitution prohibit same sex marriage?
So, once again the 'liberal' point of view is the correct one!
LOL. So is being anti-gun the correct point of view? Even though some liberals are pro-gun, most are not. My question is what are the liberals on here going to do in order to help keep our second amendment rights as they are? Are you willing to vote against your party if necessary?
Yes, lets argue among ourselves as to which side is better than to just simple try to fix what is broken.
+1 on working together:thumbup:
This skit that was put on was a wee bit tongue and cheek at what is wrong with BOTH parties. And what would you say is in need of fixing?
I wasn't refering to the video as much as the comments in the thread themselves.
Need of fixing? The fact that we pretty much have to always pick between the lesser of two evils rather than who is best for the job. Only sell-outs to the highest lobbyist win...what kind of a system is that? It's a broken one...and those in power LOVE that they get to make all the rules and decide what is fair and balanced.
Our government runs by money, greed an power when it should run by the demand of the people. Our government should speak FOR the people.
Both Republicans and Liberals are nuggets, I get that...I get the video. But instead of blamming parties, presidents, GOPs, and entire cabinets- how about we blame the system? The entire system is corrupt and in desperate need of revamping.
The system of government we have is the best in the world. Problem is we have too many bad apples that got into power. They were voted into power by people without common sense. How is it you bring common sense to people that don't have it? How are you going to fix stupid?
Yeah, sometimes we make mistakes when voting and we really should vote the mistakes out but I feel the real key to correcting our government is term limits, two terms never to be elected to that level of office again. Another area I'd focus on would be pay and the congress's ability to give themselves raises while the rest of us are hurting.
Again, you will never get what you want as long as you have so many voters that are fixed on stupid. Look how many voted for Obama.:bluelaugh::bluelaugh: Wonder how they like the change now? However given a choice they would still vote another progressive in because they the voters have no common sense.
:bluelaugh::bluelaugh::bluelaugh: how many times here have you seen people just try common sense on the progressives and it don't take? They have been indoctrinated by their schooling and don't have the common sense to know better.
You can't fix it without turning the schools to capitalism rather than progressiveism. No way that will happen so the future is grim for freedom. People bring on their own demise and yours too.
Any politicians that seek to ban guns are our enemies, Republican or Democrat, don't give any enemy your support.
lol, if you think we have a good and fair system to find out who is best to be President, Governor or Senator you are mistaken.
Sure, we can vote...but who do we vote for? The guy/gal that lies to get into office? The richest one with all the mob connections that gets endorsed? The black/female/Asian/Muslim/(insert random minority here) one for "change"?
Yes, your average voter is a moron. I know more about our current President than the people that voted for him...that's a given.
So...on I go about how our system is broken.
*We have Senators that vote on bills that they never read.
*We pay Legislators full retirement pay after their second term into office while most people cannot get retirement until they put in 20-30 years of labor.
*The only way to get an important bill passed/vetoed is by huge preassure from the higher ups or for earmarks.
I could go on and on....how many hours of work do you think your Senator puts in a week? How many years of experience do you think you need to be a President? Do you think a simple four years as a Senator is enough? I served six years in the Army, do you think I should be in charge of it?
In a way I agree with you, JJ. Any made man propped up with a lot of money, praise from the media and a purchased birth certificate can be President of the United States...so there's democracy in action.
It is strange to me that a person can become a President, Senator, Congressman or Judge with absolutely NO qualifications, but the people that are hired to enforce their drivel must have university or long on-the-job-training. Make sense to you???
There was a survey I was listening to on the radio about how some people got more votes than others. One guy was voted judge with no prior experience. When voters were asked why they voted for him, people stated because he had a "familiar name".
So if I was John Anderson, I could probably beat someone named Gerbich Nebrolski...regardless of my qualifications.
So your average voter is retarded...I get that. But then the higher ups see our stupidity and take advantage of it...shredding the constitution with the PATRIOT Act and making an Executive Order to be able to bypass Congress during times of National Emergency.
But then some of us realize the bull- and speak out against it. They go on talk radio shows and try to educate people...but the higher ups (elitists) don't like this, so they try to pass laws to make radio stations host both liberal and conservative talkshows.
Their goes your 1st Amendment rights, ladies and gents.
It's all part of the big picture....keep the stupid people stupid, disarm those that are viewed as a threat and control the media.
People see the Socialism side- the government controlled banks, healthcare and such...but look at EVERYTHING. Ignore the conspiracies and see things for what they are. People voted for Obama because he was a charismatic black man that promissed a "change" of pace. People were even voting for Sarah Palin just to say they wanted a first woman as a vice president....and I GARANTEE she was picked just because she was a woman. Have you seen her track record? Albeit, not nearly as bad as Obama's (connections with Bill Ayers, Rev Wright, Mob in Illinois) but, again, I tire to my main point.
Why must we decide to vote for the lesser of the evils? Of all the people that run for President, why do we only hear about McCain and Obama?
Because they're made men...they're the same men with the same agenda being controlled by the same lobbyists (mainly big oil and banks). Hence where most of their campaign money came from.
Don't believe me? Then why are the soldiers still overseas? Didn't Obama promiss them back in 6 months? What about a timeline? What about all this useless spending he promissed would end?
Arizona just blew a chance to get rid of McCain. McCain is in favor of amnesty but he's changed the term to "regularize." He's always been a foot-dragger about sealing our border and kicking out illegals.
McCain spent $20 million on his campaign. Arizona voted 2 to 1 for McCain against Hayworth.
Separate names with a comma.
