Is 450.00 for 1,000 rounds of reloaded .223 55gr fmj too much?
Maybe, I just paid 2 cents more per round for new manufactured Fiocchi Extrema loaded with the Hornady 40 gr V-Max bullet. But if you think the price is reasonable, and the quality sufficient, go for it. Cabelas in Yakima had a bunch of PMC 55 gr FMJ for $9.95 a box of 20. (50 cents a round vs. 47 cents for the Fiocchi vs. 45 cents for the 55 gr FMJ reloads) Myself, I think the extra pennies are worth it for the once fired factory brass. No telling how many times those reloads have been loaded. And, in my experience, the 40 gr V-Max bullets are significantly more accurate than the 55 gr FMJ's even in the AR's I have tried them in. And, their performance on montana gophers was "Extrema"!
