David Crosby, founding member of both The Byrds and later Crosby, Stills, Nash (and later "& Young") died on Wednesday, January 18, after a long (undescribed) illness.

I remember growing up on his music from both The Byrds and CSNY.

Hope the Tambourine Man doesn't turn, turn, turn, eight miles high in his grave, 'cause now you ain't goin' nowhere.

The Byrds covered good songs with tight vocals that had great harmony and smooth instrumental backing. Easy to listen to.

CSNY continued that style, with more variety. They kept adding artists to the name, leading to a comment that "It sounds more like a law firm than a rock band."

Still listen to some of his stuff in my rotation I use for the drive to and from work. Like so many "talents" never had any use for his "views" but did enjoy his music.
