What weight bullet are you going to be using and if you reload, what powder you use could be a factor. Light bullets and a fast (for the caliber) burning powder like Varget means you don't really need a 26 inch barrel. Maximum velocity with all the powder burnt will probably occur during the first 20 to 22 inches of barrel. Heavy bullets with a slow burning powder like 4831 would benefit from the longer barrel.

But how much velocity do you really need? I like shorter barrels around 22 inches for my hunting rifles because they are more handy and don't get snagged on overhead branches as much.
 
great stuff there. I'm much closer to, well, having the end of the barrel much closer. I'm leaning towards 20-22". I'll leave the really short barrel for the 22 take down I've been eye ballin'
That oughta be ideal.
Wouldn't surprise me if the groups tighten up a little too.
Shorter barrels are stiffer they say.
