Being honest...
I love my guns, but readily admit that I'm tight as a Frogs butt (and that is water-tight!), so I do have a tendency to save (horde?), rather than shoot my $'s. Never understood the urge of some to "mag-dump". I start to get concerned if, say, my 22lr stock gets below 10,000.
I still do some local target league stuff (couple of 1st's over the last few years) and that is my biggest use of ammo (rim and centerfire) At this point I'm not looking for trouble, but keep myself ready if it finds ME, so I continue to keep up with my house/car/carry guns.
Never had dreams of taking down "the man" or fighting off the Apocalyptic Hordes. I no longer portage a canoe where bears like to forage, and don't care for the taste of most game (why can't it taste like Kielbasa?).
I've been thinking of late to maybe try fishing again... I don't much mind fishing ... it's catching the things I'm not all that interested in... (the sitting for hours in the fresh air, drinking beer, eating sandwiches part I'm really, really good at)... anyone know if you need a license to "fish" without a hook?
