Hi, new poster. I read Andy54hawkens safety tips. Is there anywhere to take a class for new shooters? Don't have my muzzleloader yet and with the shortages don't know when I'll have everything to shoot. I'm considering a Pedersoli Kentucky with percussion ignition. I'm very experienced with modern rifles so not new to shooting itself.

Welcome to the world of muzzle loaders....
Please feel free to ask any question....What I don't know , I'll be happy to make up.... :D

Seriously though....ask away...if I can help , I'd be happy to do so.

Are there any muzzle loading clubs near where you live...?

I didn't think to research that. Portland area so there must be at least one.
