This one may have legs. Lower court apparently screwed it up plus it's a 5th amendment case. Typically with 2nd amendment cases the Supreme Court has not taken cases that deal with the details of firearms function etc (f.e. the other recent bump stock case they did not take).

In contrast this one deals with gov agencies creating new rules and confiscating property without compensation.

Man I sure hope they take this one.

About time! It's certainly got legs and could end up costing the goobermint quite a chunk of change by the time you lump in bump stocks, FRT's and other targetted... yet previously authorized... devices.

If they have to start answering to congress for the costs incurred to the taxpayer for their whims it could get a little messy.

If it trickles down to the state levels... hello there... red flag laws! 🤣 Stepping all over due process is one thing, but if it starts bleeding the state coffers they are going to have some s'paining to do.

Am thinking SCOTUS will accept it, as the stocks were legal when purchased. With no grandfather clause, confiscation does raise the issue of compensation. But, better yet, the whole ban might be tossed, as it is jus' plain ridickless. What next? Cars? Because they "might"be used in a crime? The principle is lame.
