Can't happen in Oregon, our legislature and SOS are so corrupt, the legislature uses fake emergency clauses on any bill they want to keep the public from voting on. The SOS, pads the counting of petition signatures for any initiative that goes against the socialist establishment in Oregon...

Conservatives are scr@wed in Oregon... There is no recourse, other than ensuring the don't get elected/re-elected in November...

Well it seems the Ballot Box is ineffective here now... and whats next.. I don't suppose the Oregon Supreme Court would be willing to bring a suit against the Executive State Government by the People either, on the illegality of using "emergency clause" on bills that do not do anything for the actual literal emergencies of drought and increasing number of transients from California and Arizona and the lack of actual good paying jobs left in Oregon...

I wonder if any Sheriff Depts here would be willing to uphold their oaths and help the Peole make citizens arrests of the corrupt party members.....

They have to collect 366,000 signatures by Sept. 29th, then hope that their SOS certifies enough valid signatures are collected, then, if they manage to make the ballot, they have to fight the millions and millions of dollars out of just Hollywood alone who will mount a huge fight against the ballot measure, using free air time and free Hollywood talking head promos to convince the gun-hating majority that this pro-gun bill is no good for them.

I have to give them credit for trying this - if they somehow manage to pull off a miracle, it may just give hope to the rest of us.

Given how throw-happy their SOS almost certainly will be, I'd want a "cushion" of at least 50-75k above that 366k, preferably a number like half-mil.

When a half a million people all speak up, that says something... the organizers should also contact Joe Mantegna, see if he'd be willing to assist as a spokesman, and maybe some of the Olympic shooters.

The biggest problem with the GOP leadership is their messaging. They only believe others are listening to them during the election cycles. They talk too hate much year around, The DNC doesn't run around yelling Welfare Queens, Anchor Baby, Wall wall wall, Din do nuffin. Listen, the DNC are as bad as the GOP. Bernie is a perfect example of being a Liberal's liberal but the "man" wouldn't let him thru.

All to say, California has a gun culture. A big one, but the DNC's messaging has lead most Californians into believing it isn't important. Other things are more important. As big and bad as Ca, is the vast majority of people will never deal with gang problems or high crime issues. They literally could give two sh**s.
