I did not notice until another mentioned it that this was from 2013. When I open the second link to the SPI the date at the top of the page is the current date. Made me think this had just happened. Then if you look further down the page the original story is from 2013. So by now the kid is no longer a kid. Would be curious to know whatever became of him though. Odds are long for me that he got a pay out, probably could not use it till he turned 18 unless it went to a parent. In either case I would of course suspect he is now in prison if still alive since he would be an adult now days. Be great if the kid did wake up and change his life after this. It does happen. Just not often sadly. I was well on the way to this life at his age and something did wake me up. Sadly most of those I ran with did not.
