From my years of looking at brass regarding Blazer:

Several years ago the headstamp was 'CCI' and it was as stated above 'dished' looking and had a 'cheap' appearance to it.

For a period of time after that the headstamp changed to 'BLAZER' and the brass appeared to be of much better quality. I always thought they were using/making cases with Federal at that time as they looked to be of the same higher quality.

And now we come to the current headstamp which is still ‘BLAZER' but they are of small primer pockets. The brass itself looks to be of decent quality and I think they are using/making cases with Federal again.

The one thing that I have always thought was interesting about Blazer ammo was how clean the powder burns. If you have ever compared once fired Blazer brass with other ammo after tumbling the Blazer cases are almost new looking on the inside.
