Best carry weapon/ home defense pistol

The RIA TAC officer sized model, their GI model is the same thing just less of the pseudo fancy stuff. I know many dislike the lesser tier 1911's but they work.

What is the best carry home defense pistol? Which would you suggest? Any reasons why one is better than any other? Give me your best!!!!

Right off the top of my head, probably some pocket 9mm.
Maybe a Kahr K9 or a Sig 938.
Both are proven reliable, concealable and chambered in an effective round.

One of my former duty weapons, a humble 9mm Ruger P95- terminated the attack when the wife and I were physically assaulted in our home. Incredibly effective. Shockingly effective. A HP followed by a solid, both delivered to C o M.
Thinking maybe of a Glock 22 or 23 in .40. I have an old S&W 411 in .40 that stays in my car permanently (holstered, with extra mags) as a "What If" piece along with an SKS and chest carry of stripper clipped ammo. Thinking that a mid-size Glock might be a carry piece to replace the G-21 that is my somewhat bulky edc.

Hopefully you got enough dimes to rub together to carry all hollow points since then.
