At least 5 South Florida officers died from Covid-19 over the course of one week | CNN

With the spread of the Covid-19 Delta variant fueling a summer of more infections and hospitalizations, health care workers and first responders find themselves again on the front lines of the pandemic.

In 2021, thus far, 107 officers have died from Covid. For reference, total officer deaths from all causes in 2021 is 212. This means that COVID is the number killer of officers in 2021.
