Anyone with a 308 SBR ?

I'm thinking about doing a .308 SBR. Probably Ar based but perhaps AK or H&K styled. I'm not that hip on FAL's just because of the poor optics platform. 10-12" barrel. Nice flash/bang ratio . Ive looked around quite a bit and there seems to be some real misperceptions about the performance of short .308's out there.

Anyone got one? How do you like it?
