I acquired a vintage Lyman Super Targetspot in what I believe is 30x in a metal Lyman case. Any experts here that know much about these old target scopes? Any way to determine age and value etc.? Thanks in advance!
Yes! First off, as tempting as it may be don't take it apart!!
Metal box is later, but it could be bought after the scope. What's the serial number on the scope?
All I've done at this point was twist the parallax and windage/elevation knobs to make certain they all worked. The metal box looks to be original to the scope from what I can tell. I do know the earlier model scopes had wood boxes. The serial number is #25330.
