Next Friday, January 9th, is another Washington Arms Collectors Swap Meet. Should be some interesting antique and C&R firearms.

No beanie babies or pink plastic rifles or pistols just collectible firearms.

WAC website says this is a members only event. If your $57 annual dues haven't been paid up, no admittance.

Id hate to pay money for an event that's just expensive antiques like most gun shows. I drove all the way to bend Oregon to a gun show for powder and saw a cut up vetterli rifles for 700 dollars. Give me a break

The swap meet is members only and their invited guests. I only collect British revolvers so I don't even notice Continental rifles. I did find a cased British revolver last swap meet for half what Las Vegas was asking.

And I saw a list of what one fellow is bringing, all in what's said to be very fine or excellent condition. Here's a partial glimpse: WW 1 Imperial German 1896 Red 9 Broomhandle Mauser with shoulder stock and leather holster $3500, Nazi Army K98 Mauser with original sling $2000, Enfield No 2 Mk 1 revolver stamped RAF $1200, US Army Colt Model 1917 double action 45 with holster $2500.

Almost all his items were C&R and more knowledgeable folks said the prices were decent.

My advice is to attend, bring cash and a Persian rug sellers bargaining skills.

If you build it they will come!

Friday's swap meet I did see an intact Vetterli rifle significantly less than that.
