Here's the text from the OFF alert and the link:
Even More Anti-Gun Bills - Oregon Firearms Federation

    Even More Anti-Gun Bills

    03.01.13

There are several more anti-gun bills you should be aware of. They are by all the usual suspects.

House Bill 3114 gives colleges and universities the right to ban CHL holders from their property. In order to see the actual ban language you must scroll all the way to page 65 of this 66 page bill. This bill is a response to our successful lawsuit against the Oregon University System. On the other hand, House Bill 3009 does the exact opposite, specifically granting CHL holders the right to be there.

House Bill 3412 “Establishes Task Force on Reducing Gun Violence.” What a waste of time and money. As though the “task force” is going to learn anything new.

House Bill 3413 creates mandatory lock up laws for your firearms. If you’re not home and your 17 year old daughter uses one of your guns to defend herself against a home invader you can spend a year in jail and pay a fine of $6250.00.

You can see all the bills at this link.

It’s imperative that we keep the heat on these people. Remember, you can contact your own legislator using this link. You don’t need to write anything long or profound. Our job is not to “educate” them. A simple “NO ON GUN CONTROL” will do it.

The Dembrows and Dingfelders and Keny-Guyers know exactly what they are doing. They are trying to eliminate your gun rights. They are not going to “see the light.” But we can make them feel the heat.

I'm really getting sick and tired of having to exert so much energy just for the government to leave me the hell alone. I think I need to start looking for a job in Wyoming.

WTF is driving these relentless freaks? Can they not see the gun sales figures and buy a clue that the people don't want the excrement they're pushing?

My thoughts are that they intend to flood the legislature with so many of these bills that someone will finally capitulate and let them have something. It's just like a gang of street thugs. They surround you and demand that you at least give up "something", or they will continue to beat you up.

It's gone way past compassion and caring for murdered children. It's to the point that they want their pound of flesh and don't care who gives it up.

We can't back down. We must keep up the campaign of emails and phone calls.

This never had anything to do with the compassion and caring for murdered children. That is merely the vehicle they are using to justify the need for more useless gun laws.

Can somebody post an official list of the usual suspects please? I've only been paying attention very recently. I know the main ones but a complete list would be helpful now that they may be blocking OFF'S automailer.

I talked to Kevin Camerons' office this afternoon. He's on the House Judiciary committee and asks that we continue to write and call ALL of the legislators involved, not just the ones who support our cause. Here's a link to committe assignments:Oregon State Legislature - Committees Notice that some of these bills are committee sponsored, so you'll need to write to all on the committees.

These people think they are safe from us because they are in strongly Democratic districts. The way to get to them is to support their Democratic primary election opponents, both politically and financially, and let them know that you will be supporting their primary opposition. That's something they really do fear. Use your Oregon political tax credit to donate $100 to any Democrat who runs against them in the primaries. If a few thousand of us did so for Burdick's or Greenlick's Democratic opponents we could make an example of them.

How about a new state amendment: "Any legislator that crafts a bill that attempts to circumvent, infringe upon, or override the state or federal constitution shall have their paycheck docked by the amount of time they spent on said bill, upon it's failure in the state or federal house or senate"
Maybe an additional "Any bill crafted that is found, by the Supreme Court of Oregon, that directly attempts to circumvent, infringe upon, or override the state or federal constitution shall be charged with Treason."
I'm not a lawyer but I could get behind something like that :) Might make them stop putting out excrement like this and focus on real problems at hand like the state budget.

Expressed my displeasure with having to tell my legislators that I didn't deserve to be a criminal to a poor gentleman on Democratic Representative Ben Unger (Hillsboro) staff today. Ben is a super pro-gun democrat. I asked his aide to pass along to his party that I owned guns, served my country, and I'm not a criminal or a mass-murderer, so LEAVE ME THE HELL ALONE! His aide agreed the Democratic party is really careening so far left it was starting to get ridiculous.
