Airweight semi auto?

    Does anyone make a semi auto pistol out of the same materials the Airweight revolvers are made from? If "Yes," who? If "No," why?

    I'm not sure if it's the same material or not but I know Wilson combat makes some lightweight aluminum framed 1911 style pistols. Sorry if that's not the answer you were looking for.

    Smith and Wesson makes a Scandium framed 1911 as well. Scandium is an element added to Aluminum that strengthens the alloy even more for increased durability.

    Taurus uses Titanium slides on polymer frame guns for a very light gun overall......
