I have the nickel CP88 with the extended barrel and the Walther brand red dot sight. It's great for 'paper cup combat' but accuracy is so-so at 10m - certainly nothing like my Steyr, LP3, even LP53s, let alone the irreplaceable FAS Model 604.tac,
I'm surprised you didn't mention your Walther CP-88.
Mine is even more accurate since I've added the extended barrel. Just sorry
I couldn't find an extension in blue to match match my gun.
Wow! Here in my little backyard in UK I can shoot ANY airgun all day long...............................Probably not, but I am in Washington county (it is illegal here too).
Same here for the most part, with some limitations. Usually city laws are the harshest.Wow! Here in my little backyard in UK I can shoot ANY airgun all day long...............................
Yup, air RIFLES over 12ft lbs need an FAC, as do air PISTOLS over 6 ft lbs. In Germany ALL air weapons over the Joule equivalent of 6ft lbs need a Waffenschein/Waffenbesitzkarte.Same here for the most part, with some limitations. Usually city laws are the harshest.
Some of Portland's airgun laws are more severe than they are for firearms. Kinda makes sense, as one of those is a Right.
UK, sub-12FPE, otherwise a license (FAC) is required.
Here I can legally order an 800FPE big bore from Amazon with a few mouse clicks.
More public land in the NW USA than all landmass of the UK. The taxpayers own enough real estate we don't need to find "permissions".
We can also fire "real" guns on many public lands. Sight in the .177 and the .308 in one sitting.
I'm sure we could make some other great comparisons, but that's what I know from what I hear when UK shooters chat.
I like that there seems to be an airgun club or two in every town over-yonder. I have ~10 firearm ranges within driving distance, but not a single airgun range.
For many folks it's more of a 'do what we can do' thing. It's alright for me - I still shoot rifles and stuff, and even if I'm limited to my BP revolver and a strange-looking long-barrelled thing. Many folks here in UK literally do not know that there was once a thriving and internationally successful pistol-shooting following - it's well over 25 years since I bought ANY kind of handgun ammunition. Remember that all my 9mm stuff was free of charge - my annual allowance as a minor unit was 27500 rounds! I WAS that minor unit - all by myself!WOW!
tac that sounds way too serious for me, but I do enjoy watching the, UK "Dairy Farm" rat shooting videos on YouTube.
If they keep shutting down the ranges around me, my air pistol in the garage might become
the only way to keep up my skills.
