308/223 BOLT HELP

So I have a 308 bolt and I want to use it to shoot 300blackout how would I convert the 308 bolt to 223?

get a barrel mr 4x4 and have it put on that receiver.
Will require a smith to properly headspace barrel on receiver.

This is the correct awnser. Although if you get a set of go-nogo gauges that should be fine. They are common for 5.56/.300bo

I know that but I have a barrel vise and go no go gauges so was gonna give it a shot

If you're mechanically inclined, and can follow instructions that are all over the internet and know how to set headspace, then you can do it yourself. We just don't want to see you injure yourself or others due to improperly doing your conversion.

The 700 is pretty straightforward, much like the Savage, but the Savage is easier. There is no excuse for becoming familiar with the platform and triple/quad checking each step.
